Hello Busy Week!

Hi everyone, this week will be just a quick drop in to say hello. My week is looking pretty busy at the moment and I have about a thousand years of editing to do in front of me so I thought I would share a couple of projects that I am working on. How’s your week shaping up?

Quince Fine Florals feature in House Of Fifty

Happy Tuesday! I want to start by saying a big thank you once again for all of your lovely comments on the passing of Griffon. As of yesterday, I started the process of vacuuming the house and wiping some of the nose smears off of the stainless steel appliances in the kitchen where Griffy “nosed” around. I will however, leave the little nose smears on the front door where he sat patiently waiting for us to come home.

This week I wanted to share a shoot I did over at Quince Fine Florals. House of Fifty Magazine picked it up and it’s featured in the January issue …… which is THE most prettiest issue yet !!!! Highly suggest you pick up or download a copy. Pure prettiness!!!

Happy new week everyone!

Do you find that most times things always happen all at once?? I’ve been kinda busy lately and am finally able to share a few things that I’ve been up to. First off, I had the pleasure of working with Karla Amadatsu over at Kerrisdale Design We photographed her daughter, Caris’ room, which ended up having a little snippet in the Style At Home organizing issue. I do believe you will see the rest of the space in an upcoming issue.

Then I had the opportunity to work with Amanda Swanlund of Twenty One Two to shoot an incredible space that was featured in the latest issue of House Of Fifty.

Lastly, I was pleasantly surprised by a little tweet that came my way, from Kinfolk Magazine, letting me know that my work had been featured in their online journal. See more HERE Bye for now

Pop up store at Le Marche St. George

A few weeks ago I went to visit a pop up store in one of the spaces above Le Marche St.George, a lovely place to visit for a cup of coffee. I just had to buy something …… ANYTHING!!!…… in order to get a piece of the beauty I snapped up a linen cloth and some pictures of the incredibly beautiful space. Patricia Larsen is a veteran behind the styling and she also makes those lovely clothes. Her daughters Klee and Janaki provide some of the most beautiful art and pottery pieces. Stunning.

I do hope everyone had a lovely weekend. Wasn’t that sunshine fantastic?

Here’s a look at a commercial space I recently shot for one of Vancouver’s leading talent agencies, Kirk Talent. Located in a 1912 heritage building, with exposed beams, brick and big, beautiful windows, I couldn’t imagine a better place to work.

Here are those pesky little sneak peeks I’ve been meaning to post from my ridiculous whirlwind trip to Calgary … It consisted of shooting four spaces in two and a half days! I’m not sure if I would do that again but I do want to thank all of those wonderful people that helped make my stay a little easier.

Oh my, my, my …… I’m still a tad tired and just trying to grasp some kind of catch up time since coming back from Calgary …. which went very well I might add and will be sure to post some pics soon.

As I was trying to figure out what to post this week, all I could think of was how much I am looking forward to taking a nice warm bubble bath once all my work is done, so here is my post about some bath tubs. Which do you prefer feet or no feet?

Just a little post about much

I want to start by saying thank you to everyone that comes by for a visit, and leaves such nice comments on my posts. My heart just swoons to know that “Keeping House & Everything Else” is somewhere people can find inspiration. Heaps of hugs go out to you!!! So with that said, I have added a “bloglovin” button …. (left column) I decided to go ahead with it, ya know, having a WORDPRESS site, I might as well try to be as cool as all of you BLOGGER site people are. So follow me, here’s your chance.

Another thank you goes out to Sheila over at SZ Interiors. Sheila posted a challenge to name pieces of mid-century furniture and who made them in a picture she posted. Well, I guess my design course I took years ago paid off cause I answered enough questions to win a prize. Wooo hooo! Love it! Well, that wonderful little package arrived. A book on “Do-it-yourself” Mid-Century Modern projects. Now I can make my own Atomic Ball clock, mod poppies or how about Calderiffic Mobile?.. inspired by Alexander Calder. You must stay tuned ……

I also got a chance to finally visit a wonderful store called much&little When you are Vancouver, I highly suggest you visit this adorable little store. Here is just a glimpse of what I saw. Thank you to Sarah for a great chat while I was there taking some snaps. Will see you again very soon!

Giving …….

So is everyone already for Christmas? Yes? No? Neither am I… almost though. I find the older my nieces and nephews get, the smaller the gifts get which means less wrapping paper and no batteries. I can actually get a little more creative with my wrapping this year and it will go half noticed as opposed to just ripped open in 2 seconds. To me a big part of Christmas is giving and I just adore watching my friends and family opening their gifts. Okay ……. I like getting gifts too, not gonna lie.

This week I thought I would post some pics of a home I shot while working for The Kids Help Phone. It was a really nice treat for me to shoot “Homes For The Holidays” for such a great cause. I have to thank Lauren Davies, Leslie Mauro and Cathy Howden for taking me in as their photographer because over the years, I have wanted to be a part of this event but never got a chance. I guess my passion for shooting homes finally showed through. This is just a snippet of one of the homes but it’s my favorite of the bunch. The frogs in the tree are way too cute!
